No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V695000 (Structure, Equipment); however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where the vehicle was serviced under an unknown recall; however, the failure persisted.
A panel on the roof of the vehicle detached while driving at highway speed (60MPH). The panel is held on by bolts and affixed to the roof with glue. The glue failed and the bolts do not attach directly to the roof. The panel is fairly heavy and large and would present a major hazard to a following vehicle.
The RV was not diagnosed. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 25,000.
