There were no warning lights or dashboard indicators prior to the collision suggesting any system malfunction. During the collision, the front airbags did not deploy despite multiple significant impacts.
The car surged forward into some small bushes and a small causing damage to the front bumper, grill cover, and several other pieces. No one was hurt, but the risk is obvious.

The vehicle has also displayed “AWD Temporarily Unavailable,” ABS/brake warnings, vibration while braking, steering vibration, and shaking during acceleration. These symptoms began before the latest sudden-braking incident and have continued after a previous software update.
The contact exited the vehicle, and there was smoke coming from the wheel wells and the brake pads. A tow truck was called to the scene, and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.
I was driving on the freeway and was between two cars. The car on my right was trying to merge into me. I immediately was breaking while trying to control steering. I attempted to honk three times and my honk horn would not work.
After returning to the vehicle, multiple error messages were displayed on screen. "Have Power Steering Serviced, Service Stabilitrak, Service Headlamps, AWD Tempoarily Unavailable" Steering was the main issue. It was almost impossible to turn and steer. It was fortunate that it was after a stop and not while driving.
