The contact stated that the left-side cable had popped off, and the vehicle rolled back while in first gear. There was low compression in the engine. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to obtain the parts from an independent parts supplier. The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that the caliper seals were ordered but were the incorrect part. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired.

Safely stopped the car on the shoulder of road. turned car on and off and resumed driving.
