What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
A few minutes into the drive the transmission oil is too hot warning light came on and the car went into a 'limp' mode, car could only be driven less than 10mph. If this occurred while making a turn or in the highway it could have been disastrous or even fatal.
On several occasions while vehicle was stationary at a stoplight or moving very slowly the emergency braking system deployed, with seat belt tensioner activated and brakes applied with characteristic thunk sound. I could discern no threat at the time, but other cars were nearby.
