What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was notified of an electrical failure within the vehicle. The electrical gauge, the surge charger, and the shift sensor had failed and needed to be replaced.
The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V874000 (Seats, Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue.
I also trust you understand that this unexpected braking is unacceptable. The audi service advisor told me he has seen this phenomenon before but audi has no explanation or solution to the problem.
