Dash board cracking and falling apart. I removed the dashmat to clean under and seen all the damage. The vehicle was not moving.
Takata recall and the remedy to fix it is unavailable for over a year now. Gm keeps telling me that I have a safe vehicle.
While driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle stalled. In addition, the steering and braking ability failed, the radio was inoperative, and the stability control warning indicator illuminated. After five minutes, the vehicle operated normally. The contact stated that the failures occurred sporadically for six weeks.

Takata recall -- my dashboard is cracked, I fear for all of us that have cracked dashboards around our airbags. The speed at which these airbags deploy could easily turn these broken pieces into shrapnel.
