What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that the ignition failed to start with several attempts, however after waiting fifteen minutes the vehicle began to operate normally. The vehicle would also stall unexpectedly when driving and then restart. The failure recurred numerous times.
Driver seat support bracket cracks causing seat too either slip forward or backward. I have replaced it several times, cracks at base of support hinge.
We have had a dealer drill holes in the hinges to lubricate them as they seize up and become very hard to open and close. This is just a temporary and eventually an ineffective fix.
The drivers seat on 2000 chevrolet express van is becoming detached from the base. This is causing the seat to unexpectedly move when turning or stopping. The seat is detached in the rear of the base and actually swivels up towards the steering wheel.
I have a 2000 chevy express 1500 van. The side doors have become increasing hard to open and shut. Finally one day they would not close and the door appears to be warped or out of alignment.
I didn't want to force it nor knock any more paint off. I don't know if it is the hinge itself or something else.when I bought it in 1999 don't know how long it was but mark 3 went out of business so I don't know if there was a recall or not . Also when the t.v and vcr are on or just the t.v.
