What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Was traveling to the beach on vacation when I noticed a smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle. I pulled over looked under vehicle and noticed that the transmission line had rotted completely through. Once it was repaired I was shown by my mechanic how rusted through the brake lines were also.
The contact was driving approximately 55-60 mph when the engine stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle as it resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the mechanic replaced the fuel pump injector.
Dt*: the contact stated the right brake was locking up, the abs light illuminated, and the brakes were failing. New brakes were placed on the vehicle 6 months prior. This problems with the vehicle began two months ago. Also, the windshield wipers frequently fail.
