For several years prior to p48 recall, my truck would drop dead while driving and the dealership could never diagnose why the truck was doing so.
The tie rod ends have failed three times on the vehicle and the vehicle will randomly stall out or quickly accelerate. This has happened on several occasions and put me, my family, and others not he road at risk of serious injury. It has happened in parking lots and while pulling out into traffic out of parking lots.
The contact stated that after accelerating from a stop at 10 mph, the engine stalled as the check engine, the throttle control, and the traction sensor warning lights illuminated. The contact also stated that the vehicle accelerated independently.
