What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Before I was able to do so, I had complete brake failure. I was attempting to come to a stop when the brake pedal was pressed all the way down and the vehicle was not slowing nor were the brakes catching. Thus resulting in an accident. The dart is a total loss.
18 mph while attempting a left turn in to our neighborhood I heard a loud pop and car jerked to the left hitting a curb. Upon visual inspection of the car it appeared that the axle popped out of joint and control arm broke in two.
Tl* the contact rented a 2016 dodge dart. While parking, the vehicle accelerated forward without warning and crashed into a building. The driver and passenger air bags deployed. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was totaled and towed back to the rental company.
Upon driving the car on the freeway yesterday, the 2016 dodge dart started to shake and the car would not slow down. The passenger front wheel control arm, tire, and cv joint completely feel off the vehicle which caused an accident.
My 5 year old daughter was in the backseat and smacked her face off of the seat and window bruising the whole side of her face and giving her a black eye. For some reason, no airbag was deployed.
The air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed and there were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to red bluff dodge chrysler jeep ram ([address], red bluff, [ZIP], [phone]) where it was diagnosed that the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
