What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Assumed that a over-head light was left on. Confirmed the battery was holding a charge, no issues with alternator. Had the same battery drain a couple of days later. Jumped the van again. Remove any devices from all the power outlets. The battery issue went away.
The contact stated that the vehicle failed to recognize when occupants had fastened the seat belts, the windshield wiper activated independently, the fuel gauge displayed empty, and the air bags appeared to be disengaged. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 66,900.
The contact stated that while the vehicle was in reverse, the rear-view camera displayed an upside-down image or a blank screen. The dealer was contacted by phone. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
It ran hot/overheated and would lose some power on even very slight inclines; when this occurred, the temperature gauge would rise. It never completely lost power or stalled. The vehicle developed an engine ticking noise that continues. An oil-pressure warning appeared, and the check-engine light repeatedly came on.
Airbag system not working for 7 months because replacement parts are not available. Very serious safety issue!!!!!!
The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, and it was determined that the headrest needed to be replaced. The contact associated the failure with an unknown Technical Service Bulletin. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure via telephone. The failure mileage was approximately 139,000.
Air Bag light stays on. Mechanic found defect in driver's side headrest. Part was ordered in February 2026, still waiting for the replacement part 6 months later. Dodge has no idea when the part will be available.
Minivan has sliding door lock actuator failure, driver side. Unable to open sliding door manually or with power door motor. Lock/unlock latch is stuck in locked position. This is a safety issue in case of vehicle crash or fire. Exact same issue with older models.
