What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Dt: the contact owns a 1997 eagle talon. On june 14, 2005 contact's vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident while going 20-25 mph. Upon impact, front air bags deployed, but contact sustained airbag burns. He sustained injuries, strain in neck, burns on arm, and on rights hand two finger became numb.
Purchased tire from sears 16 days earlier, had a blow out of the sidewall which caused an accident.
1994 eagle vision steering locked up which resulted in an accident.
The dealer failed to remove paper and plastic covers on discs causing over heating and almost fire at front brakes plus brake failure. The vehicle accelerated when the driver was trying to slow down, and crashed.
Dual airbags did not deploying, causing damage to right front end , totally crumpled. Please provide further information.
On 4 different days the car, for no reason, would jerk to the right. When it would do this the steering wheel would not turn with the wheels. The fifth time it did this there was a soft road shoulder and my daughter lost control, hit 4 trees and totaled the car.
