What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
My husband was blinded by the driver airbag on a 1993 ford crown victoria in september 2002. It was a low impact single car accident at 8 mph. The airbag did not go off in a timely manner and blinded my husband instantly.
With only slight pressure, the vehicle slipped out of gear and rolled backwards down a hill, wedging a 16 year old female in the rear driver's side door, then pinning the female between two vehicles.
These tires are purportedly good for 3 years or 70,000 miles. They are also suppose to be good up to 112 mph. However, when the previous owner learned of our wreck , he provided me with receipts which showed that two other tires from the original four failed at 153,240 miles and 143,911 miles.
While pulling out of a lot at approximately 3-5 mph vehicle struck a pole, causing left front anchor bolt to pull out of the seat. Dealer/manufacturer were not contacted at this time. Feel free to provide futher details.
While in park position with key out of the ignition, and emergency parking brake activated, vehicle suddenly moved forward and caused a crash. After the crash, the occupant could not start vehicle and move it out of park position. Please provide further information.
Also, wiring harness in the steering column burned out(ignition), causing a fire. In addition, bolt that holds driver's seat to the floor came out which could cause the driver's seat to move unexpectedly. Please provide further information.
While sitting at stoplight vehicle was hit from the rear and pushed into a big 4x4, causing hood to fold in, and air bags did not deploy. Also during the accident both driver's and passenger's side seats collapsed, causing some injuries to both driver and passenger.
While the key is in the ignition and the vehicle in park postion and the emergency parking brake is activated, heard a popping noise. The vehicle rolled over, causing major injuries and loss of the vehicle. Cause unknown. Please provide details.
