What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked with the parking brake activated, the contact’s wife returned to the vehicle and became aware that the vehicle had rolled away and crashed into a parked vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated prior to failure. There was no injury sustained.
Four days after I bought the Ford Expedition Max, I experienced brake failure and all warning lights going off on the Ford. I was unable to brake correctly and almost causing a wreck on [XXX] in Charlottesville, VA.
The second-row passenger-side seat has repeatedly failed to latch securely to the floor after being moved/folded. This problem has occurred multiple times. The vehicle has previously been taken to the Ford dealer for the problem, and repairs have been attempted.
2025 ford expedition android auto communication error 11 loops in connect-disconnect sequence continually Stopping/Restarting the engine WHILE DRIVING. Both phone and in vehicle displays screens flashing error screens. Real Clockwork Orange. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE.
Similar to what has been widely reported online, my Expedition has an uncontrollable shake at highway speeds (70-85 mph). I have attempted to get the wheels and tires rotated and rebalanced which did not fix the issue.
Exhaust fumes enter cabin when driving low speeds and at idle, odors confirmed by dealer repair attempts made but problem still exsist. Fumes strong enough to make eyes water and give occupants headaches
At approximately 5 MPH, the electronic parking brake automatically applied by the vehicle and brought the vehicle to a stop. After being placed in Park, the vehicle would not shift out of Park and displayed multiple fault messages.
The pre collision avoidance system doesn’t activate at all even though the adaptive cruise control works properly. Has been seen and evaluated by Dealership technician as well as having a Ford engineer remotely logged into the vehicle. All modules have been updated and the issue still isn’t resolved.
