What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
During the crash, the front end of the vehicle was severely damaged but no airbags were deployed. The driver sustained back and neck injuries. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed away. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 65,000.
Driver of Fusion, wearing seatbelt, suffered sternum fracture. Available for inspection. Failure of airbags to deploy likely cause sternum fracture. Fusion just arrived at car repair for scan and inspection.
Tl* the contact owns a 2019 ford fusion. The contact stated while driving at 25 mph, the front axle on the passenger side fractured causing the tire to fold under the vehicle. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle could not be turned to the left or right direction.
Collision at 35mph front end of fusion hit the entire passenger side of another vehicle . No airbag deployed. Other vehicle was totaled.
The contact stated that while driving approximately 30 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with a leaking the head gasket, which allowed coolant into the cylinders.
The vehicle suffered a sudden, instantaneous total loss of motive power. The loss of electric power steering assist and loss of power brake assist while driving through a live intersection with no warning lights or prior engine shuddering nearly caused a severe, life-threatening, or even fatal collision.

I have an overheating problem in the engine, after visiting the dealership and repair shops it was brought to my attention that this was a constant problem with the eco-boost turbo system associated with certain ford models, I could smell a mixture of antifreeze, oil (smelling like rotten eggs) and white fumes coming…
