What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
I have changed (3) three injection pumps in its life time and according to several highly qualified mechanics it's time to do it again.the problem is that without any warning the truck would accelerate on its own,you would literally have to stand up on the brake pedal in order to stop this possessed killing machine.
I tried to stop in which I had enough time to stop there and I rear ended a vehicle my brakes went the floor. There were no black marks showing any skid. I have looked on the internet about this problem with the abs brakes and found that there is in fact problems.
While traveling and when making a turn, clip and ring that held brake pedal to brake rod fell off, causing total loss of brakes, consumer failed to make the corner, and hit a 5 ton flatbed truck.
While driving on interstate veicle lost power steering and brakes. Had to hit gaurdrail to stop.
Truck stalled, lost power, steering brakes. Happen also two years ago and had fuel injector pump replaced.
Valve stems on the tires failed on all four wheels over a year time frame. These were purchased from ntb in newington, nh. When I went back to them after the second valve failed, they said they did not know anything about a valve problem and would not replace the remaining valves.
