Large crack in dashboard around airbag, and above control panel. Concerned about safety and efficacy of airbag, and dashboard in the event of a front end crash. Vehicle is garage parked. Gmc wants $1,600 to replace on a 6 year old vehicle with less than 60,000 miles on it.

The dash board is cracked and rattles near the air bag. This is concerning that if an accident would occur, the cracked dash could cause further bodily harm. This defect just showed up unexpectedly and I am afraid will crack more as time goes on. I cannot recall if it occurred while driving or stationary.

Cracked dashboard. This is the second gm vehicles I've owned in which cracks appear on the dashboard for no apparent reason. My concern is if the air bag is deployed, small shards of plastic may lead to serious injury.

Will follow up with more info, I live in the north east and have spoken with tech's at gm dealers and they have stated that its just a cold weather issue so gm wont fix the issue, my vehicle has had 8 or 9 door handles replaced the fasteners inside of door are plastic and water gets in there freezes and cracks plastic…

Over the past four months my 2012 yukon has been hesitating / stopping. I have accelerate into in the intersection and vehicle hesitated almost causing an accident. The check engine light has came on and off numerous times, flashing stabilization and traction switching on and off.

The following morning, august 13, 2016 at at about 7:30 am I entered the vehicle to go to the store and observed a large crack running perpendicular with the dash from near the window to a over the instrument cluster. This is a known defect with similar gm models between 2007-2013(14).
