I was slowly pulling into a parking spot in a lot. As I approached the curb, I gently pressed the brake to come to a complete stop. However, instead of stopping, the vehicle suddenly and forcefully accelerated forward very fast without warning, resulting in a crash.
i was rear ended in a 45 pmh zone and airbags failed to deploy and the intercom system did not call the police. i was t boned in a 45 mph zone and the airbags failed to deploy and the police were once again not called automatically by the car.
Vehicle: 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Safety Complaint: While driving on the highway, my 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid displayed a warning message stating âCheck Hybrid System. Stop Safely.â Immediately after the warning appeared, the vehicle lost power and acceleration.
This 2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid poses an imminent fire and safety hazard due to catastrophic high-voltage system failures. On December 11, 2025 (Mileage: 54,527), the vehicle displayed a "Check Hybrid System" warning.
The emergency braking system activated and began slowing down the car on two occasions: sometime in the fall of 2022 and on 09/01/2025. In both instances, I was driving about 65mpg on an interstate. There were no cars in front of me to cause the system to activate.
On [XXX] and [XXX], while driving at approximately 50 MPH, my vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of power, presenting an immediate safety hazard. The incident unfolded as follows: Without warning, the car emitted an alarming sound from the cabin.
I feel adaptive cruise control is much safer and cruise control in general. Apparently many people have similar issues. The horn not working often is also a huge concern. I am concerned I cannot rely on my car.
No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the power train control module required a software update. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred.
