What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Ever since I bought my infiniti the air bag light flashed rapidly on the dash. I received notice a couple years ago about the air bags being recalled.I took my vehicle to Roseville Infiniti and supposedly the airbags were replaced I expected it to take a couple hours it was in and out in under 2 hours.
My airbag light came on again recently, without any incident and I am concerned that this means my car is now unsafe. This happened in 2017 and it was a repair that was made without charge.
The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 20v008000 (air bags) however, the vin was not included. A dealer was not contacted.
Something is wrong with their bcm and door lock actuators. They constantly go out, or do not function all the time.
While driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle lost power and the engine, vdc, and slip warning indicators illuminated. The contact was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road. The contact waited ten minutes before restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted and was able to drive normally.
Tl* the contact owns a 2003 infiniti fx35. While driving at an unknown speed, an abnormal noise was heard under the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the transaxle and differential were fractured. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired.
While driving approximately 30 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. After waiting ten minutes, the vehicle resumed normal operation; however, the failure recurred three times before reaching his residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.
All doors will not lock or unlock. Nissan / infiniti has known about this issue since 2005 there are hundreds if not thousands of vehicles affected. I'm tired of going round and round with them to fix this safety issue.
