What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Ever since I bought my infiniti the air bag light flashed rapidly on the dash. I received notice a couple years ago about the air bags being recalled.I took my vehicle to Roseville Infiniti and supposedly the airbags were replaced I expected it to take a couple hours it was in and out in under 2 hours.
The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, she attempted to depress the brake pedal but her brakes failed as the check engine light illuminated. Due to the failure, the contact crashed into another vehicle in front of her. The air bags did not deploy upon impact.
Ncorrect operation of the headlights and taillights, as well as the passenger airbag
Hello. My car falls under the revocable company infiniti on three points, but the official dealer does not want to help me. Refusing to replace. Nhtsa recall number 15v-287 nhtsa recall number 06v-328 nhtsa recall number 05v-555
The air bags failed to deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated before or after the failure. The contact sustained back, chest, and facial injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed.
Passenger air bag and seat belt deployed, although no passengers in car. Drivers side air bag and seat belt did not. Clearly there is a problem with the drivers side air bag seat belt and detonator. I now have a car with a deployed passenger side airbag and seat belt.

What to check before buying
- Air bags. Check the SRS light, stored codes and airbag/curtain status after any impact.
- Electrical system. Scan all modules, test the battery and alternator, inspect connectors near the impact zone.
- Structure. Rails, pillars, panel gaps, signs of pulling or welding.
- Latches, locks, linkages. Door, hood and tailgate latches, especially near the impact.
