There is a poignant burning smell when my 2013 jx35 is fully warmed up, stopped at light or stationary. Was able to observe clear oily substance on the rubber section/side of the power steering lines where it is held by the white factory connector at the firewall.
The contact stated that the headlight lenses had water vapor on the inside, which obscured the contact's visibility. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact to take the vehicle to the dealer.
While driving at various speeds in local traffic, the vehicle shuttered and vibrated before returning to normal. The failure was experienced several times. The vehicle was taken to prospect auto repair where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and would need to be rebuilt.
While driving 65 mph, there was an increase in the engine rpms and the vehicle hesitated to accelerate without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
