What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The air bags did not deploy. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a storage facility and deemed a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported.
When driving on the highway at 55 mph Infiniti’s forward emergency braking failed it. resulted in a mirror collision with the vehicle ahead of me. Took my vehicle to [dealer] current the vehicle is the service center with no updates
I was in a car accident where the front of my car collided with another car damaging and taking part of the front of my car off and pushing it up bulging at the side mirrors and my airbag did not deploy. After the impact, my dashboard had "SRS Malfunction Service Requested" light to come on.
I hydroplaned my vehicle while drive between 55-60 mph of interstate 10 in houston, tx on 11/28/2020. I slide across four lanes and front end collided with a concrete barrier. Not one of my airbags deployed. The frame was bent and ripped next to the sensors and I reported this to nissan/infiniti.
The contact stated that while driving approximately 20-40 MPH, the passenger’s air bag warning light illuminated, and the message "Front Left Malfunction - Service Required" was displayed. The contact stated that the failure persisted.
The vehicle had started normally and driven about 9 miles with no warning lights or starting problems. Because traffic was stop-and-go, my recollection is that I had manually disabled Auto Stop/Start. I stopped normally with traffic.
