What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Within a few weeks of purchasing the rig new, I called the dealer to complain that the engine battery drained too low to start the engine within two weeks of sitting. They proclaimed that this was normal due to parasitic load and I should start and run it for a few minutes every couple of weeks.
The contact stated that while driving at 50 mph, the brake pedal was depressed, however, traveled to the floor while the brake fluid low warning light illuminated. The rv was taken to an independent mechanic where it was inspected and noticed that the brake lines were leaking and had extreme corrosion.
We were parked in a campsite and luckily sitting there as sparks flew plus wires smoking. I unplugged unit so nothing else would burn. It did not throw a fuse or breaker. Wires were just hanging from heating unit.
These are the michelin xrv tires (235/80r22.5). While driving on I-24 in manchester, tn, we had a blow out on one of the new tires (rear, outside tire but the damage was on the inside next to the axle tire). Luckily, we carry a spare tire on a rim.
Windshield leaking due to the metal framework the windshields were attached to was rusted and the glass to metal seal failed. It is my understanding that in a rain storm the windshields could fail and fall out causing a safety hazard while driving.
Ritchie explained this could not be done as the vehicle was unsafe to drive and there would be serious risk of injury and even further damage as the pads were worn and crystallized, calipers bad, and the brake failure have created serious grooves in the rotors.
