What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
We were parked in a campsite and luckily sitting there as sparks flew plus wires smoking. I unplugged unit so nothing else would burn. It did not throw a fuse or breaker. Wires were just hanging from heating unit.
Windshield leaking due to the metal framework the windshields were attached to was rusted and the glass to metal seal failed. It is my understanding that in a rain storm the windshields could fail and fall out causing a safety hazard while driving.
Now again, in 2012 the windshield has started leaking again and it appears that the frame the windshield sets in is rusted. It is our understanding, that if this is not fixed the windshield could pop out and result in an incident that could be very dangerous.
