What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The car transmission locked up and the transmission fail warning light turned on. I luckily managed to avoid an accident and had the car towed to a jaguar mechanic who performed jaguar computer test and diagnosed a failed transmission. I proceeded to take car to a jaguar dealership which confirmed the same.
Automatic transmission failure, manufacturer never reported to me about the recall on the tranmission the dealer refused to answer my questions about why recall service never was performed. I recommended scheduled maintenance every time.
The vehicle stalled inadvertently at high speeds and at lower speeds. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, who stated they were aware to the problem. They replaced the throttle body system. The consumer left the dealer and 5 minutes later the vehicle stalled again.
Finally was able to coast to the side of the road and the engine check light came on. This has happened, four times. Contacted dealer and if fixed, it would happen again.
