What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Recently purchased this vehicle, it’s got a different problem all the time usually electronics. The other day I was in a fender bender because I’m driving with the steering wheel 30-45 degrees to the right just so I can drive safe.
The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH, the driver-side front and rear power door latches became inoperable, causing the doors to remain ajar. The dealer was contacted and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure by telephone.
We are unable to open the rear exterior doors from the outside of the car. We have confirmed on numerous occassions doors are unlocked and there are no child safety locks on . This is becoming a very dangerous situation.
Drivers door latch is failing to engage properly making it so the door can not closed right away. No matter how you close the door it always pushes right back open sometimes the door will semi latch but still poses the hazard of opening while driving. It has been inspected by the dealer to confirm the issue.
Drivers door latch takes a long time to unlatch/latch there have been numerous times where the door won’t close and stay closed. My door has also had to be left open as it won’t latch. This is a serious safety hazard there was a recall but my vin was not included.
This is an issue that poses an imminent threat to the safety of this vehicle because the door latch is intermittently operative. There is a potential for the door to open while driving which poses a risk of accident and/or injury.
The contact stated while driving 65 MPH and at various speeds, the wheels were shuddering. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the tires were inspected. The mechanic informed the contact that the interior of the sidewalls were delaminating, causing the tires to become out-of-round.
The message "Adaptive Steering Fault - Service Now" was displayed. The contact stated that upon turning off and restarting the vehicle later, the steering wheel returned to the center. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the steering wheel needed to be replaced.
