What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
I also sustained injuries my left wrist from the steering wheel airbag, and my left chest from the tightening of the seatbelt. The local Mercedes Benz dealer recently towed the vehicle from my home address to their facility for inspection of said airbags. As of today, I have not received any report from MBUSA.
[xxx] steering lock failure should be a recall. Mercedes charges $1100 to replace mine and everything I've read ppl are all having same common issues. I had no issues until after my car was hit in front when someone backed into me (very hard that is).
I was driving behind a lady and when she stopped I went to put my feet on the brakes and the brakes went to the floor and my car hit her. I had my car repaired of course and paid my deductible. My car was driving pretty regular after being repaired. Then in august 2020 the same thing happened again.
The air bags failed to deploy. The driver ruptured discs two through seven in the neck, which required medical attention. The other driver was not injured. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the front end of the vehicle was rebuilt.
A malfunction warning light illuminated. The contact had a minor injury to his back, both arms, and left eye. It was unknown if the other individuals involved in the crash sustained injuries. A police report was made. Medical attention was sought but no further assistance was needed.
My wife was t bone on dec., 24, 2018 by another vehicle she flipped 2 time and hit a guard rail the air bags never deployed. She is now home and healing. I wanted to know how she will be compensated my your company cause the air bags was never fixed in her car.
