What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
My airbags did not deploy: not even the side airbags, even though the trunk was crashed/pushed up into the middle of the car, damaging the side supports between the front and back seats. ALSO, the driver's seat reclined fully upon impact!
The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained head, shoulder, and back injuries, and medical treatment was needed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it has not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 29,000.
With no brakes, the result was a collision. The front collision detection that constantly warned falsely on the dash. This failed to work prior to the collision at this time. Automatic brakes did not engage either resulting in a serious crash. Nissan dealership is inspecting the brake booster, and brake system.
There were clicking noises while applying the brake at the previous stop before the collision. About 100 yards before a red light I was pushing on the brake pedal but it would only go half way down. There was no response on the brakes. Ended in collision with another vehicle
Airbags failed to deploy. A police report is documented with the irving police department, tx dot crash id 17836976.1 see also 11353459.
In addition, there were 4-5 unknown warning lights illuminated before the crash. The contact was inquired about air bag deployment and confirmed that the air bags did not deploy. A police report was not filed. The contact sustained facial injuries but did not seek medical attention.
While driving on a busy highway the vehicle all of a sudden was losing power and surging dangerously. Barely made it home. There were no warning lights. It had to be towed to a garage. There were no leaks. I was told the CVT transmission would have to be replaced.
A/C Started blowing warm air when car was idling, then car randomly overheated while sitting in traffic. Once car cooled down, check to coolant levels and they were fine. After the car sat overnight A/C worked fine and temperature gauge was at normal.
