What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Driving on a gravel road at 30 miles per hour when steering and brakes did not work went in the ditch just about flipped the car the ins company said to bad can not do nothing the recall ended that night to late.
The air bags did not deploy. The failure mileage was 148,000. The driver was belted. The driver sustained minor injuries. The vehicles was destroyed. The contact has pictures of the vehicle. The manufacturer sent out an investigator and it was determined that the airbags were operational.
The air bags never deployed. The vehicle is a total loss and everyone that saw the car agrees the air bags should have deployed. Do you know of any other problems and where I might turn for answers and what recourse I may have.
Another vechile was knocked into our vechile and my wife's seat did not remain locked in position. He seat slammed forward and my wife received fractures to her leg, and foot. Along with a tear in the mincus of her knee.
Airbags failed to deploy and I received deep lacerations on my forehead from my head going through the windshield. Both front airbags deployed on other vehicle.
Driver was forced into steering wheel because seat belt did not operate. Dealer and the manufacturer were notified. Feel free to provide any further information.
No warning lights came on. Related note... Both times, "low tire pressure" light falsely came on day before failure. All tires were properly inflated both times. False tire inflation low light seems to predict system failure.
Driving on the highway, all of the warning lights came on, the fuel gauge dropped to empty, the rpm gauge dropped to zero, the thermostat needle rapidly flickered up and down then the car shut off.
