What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The airbag light has come on for the third time. The problem is in a sensor in the seatbelt. Each time it is the same problem and porsche wants me to spend $550 to replace the unit with the fourth sensor. I have declined to do this as they will not warranty the new unit.
Rear main seal oil leak prone to the porsche boxster. Unit was fixed 18 months ago under normal factory warranty and failed again. The cost of the fix was over $1,900.00. Shouldn't a fix done by the dealer last longer then 18 months and 5,500 miles? Porsche told me to "do what I need to do" to recover front he loss.
The car has a problem in that the airbag light will come on and the owner will not know if the airbags are working properly or not. Porsche has had over 7 fixes on this issue and none have worked to date. They have replace mine under warranty, and it has failed again.
