What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
No warning lights were illuminated. No Police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact referenced an unknown recall which had a similar failure description, however the VIN was not associated.
Both occupants were wearing seatbelts, which activated normally. The driver sustained a right-side rib fracture caused by seatbelt force, required ambulance transport to the emergency room, and continues to experience ongoing symptoms.
finally, April 2025 this happened my car started shaking jolted forward, engine revving, and then my check engine light came on then immediately contacted my local dealership and scheduled an appointment to get my car in.
Air bags did not deploy during a major crash took place on 9-25-2024 the vehicle was a total loss.
While driving slowly into a parking slot, the brakes released and the vehicle surged over a parking block and into a sign. On a couple of time previously, I have encountered similar situations but never when parking at slow speed.
The seat belt latch stopped working. It appears the locking mechanism failed and it is stuck in the locked state which prevents the seat belt from latching. This is a critical failure in vehicle safety.
My 2023 Toyota Sienna LE has experienced a recurring Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbag warning that appears to be triggered by normal movement of the second-row seats. The vehicle has been brought to Cobb County Toyota in Georgia multiple times for this issue.
Seatbelt intermittently would latch since purchasing vehicle, and then completely failed and will no longer latch/clip in. This is 3rd row passenger side.
