What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that while driving 25 MPH, the vehicle crashed into the rear of a stationary vehicle; however, the air bags failed to deploy. Additionally, the ABS failed to activate as designed. The contact sustained a back injury upon impact; however, medical attention was not sought.
Concern 1: My 2022 Toyota Sienna intermittently experiences an unexpected forward surge while braking. When I press the brake pedal to slow or stop the vehicle, I sometimes feel a sudden forward pushing or acceleration sensation before the vehicle slows down.
The vehicle can briefly surge forward even though I continue braking. This reduces the gap to the vehicle ahead, requiring significantly harder and faster brake-pedal input to avoid a collision. This affects the predictability of stopping distance.
The vehicle began displaying warnings for **Blind Spot Monitor Malfunction, Rear Cross Traffic Alert Malfunction, and Parking Support Brake Unavailable**. [dealer] dealer diagnosed the problem and found significant corrosion at **both rear blind spot monitor connections**.
I am reporting a potential safety issue involving the passenger-side power sliding door on a 2022 Toyota Sienna. On XXX, my [XXX] child was outside the vehicle in a wagon while the passenger-side sliding door was closing.
Stitching on the driver seat is tearing. Under normal wear. The vehicle is just out of the 3 year/36,000 warranty period. If the seat continues to degrade it will not be safe for future use as it worsens.
We brought our 2022 Toyota Sienna in for service January 2024 for the driver's seat. The seat would make really loud popping noises that sounded like something was loose when the seat moved forward and backward.
Rear windshield shattered between 4/16/2026, 10:04 AM and 4/16/2026, 6:43 PM without reason, no one near it to cause this broken windshield. I have Simplisafe camera that showed no one was near the car. See attached pictures.
