1994 toyota pickup has holes in frame from rust. I just replaced the tires and found the frame rot and I am very unhappy with this situation. The recall only goes back to the 1995 models and this is obviously a factory defect. I feel that this needs to be fixed by toyota.
The contact stated that the frame was rusted in two. She was informed by her personal mechanic when she went to have another repair performed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact called the manufacturer who offered no assistance. The current mileage was approximately 225,000.
The shop called me and said they would not install the clutch because the frame was rusted through so bad around the rear suspension mounts that it was practically broken in half and was not safe to drive.
Upper left control arm is rusting through on the vertical planes. 3. Took vehicle to local dealer for inspection. They agreed the parts are rusting but it was okay to drive. Contacted the manufacturer and they support the dealer. My vehicle is a 1994 toyota pickup truck with 225,000 miles.
8 years later had to replace original windshield and discovered rust around windshield frame called toyota to complain about defect from the first leak which had caused the rust, toyota denied problem.
I currently own a1994 toyota 4x4 owned since 1995 , have noticed right side frame rot from crossmember to front leaf spring connection . I am getting worried about me and my family's safety. It is a shame that loyal toyota owners like me are being told sorry we can't help you.
Dt: high pressure gas line corroded and gas is leaked from the line. Gas dripped when it was not running and it sprayed when it was running. Dealer and manufacturer have not been contacted yet. Caller was concerned about a fire starting with a gas leak.
