What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The horn stopped working and the air bag icon warning light came on. The center console display is not working. My biggest concern is that of the Steering Wheel airbag not deploying in case of an accident.
I was driving down the freeway at about 4:00 pm in the afternoon when my sunroof suddenly shattered. I was not near an overpass so nothing could have fallen on it. It was not an overly warm day so I don't think it was the heat. I can only conclude that it spontaneously exploded.
Replaced all four abs wheel sensors. The sensors effected abs system and all emergency equipment such as all airbags srs dealer advised that that this has been an issue with all models in the vw line of products.(gunther vw of delray, florida(
