I found a safe place to pull of the road.
He pulled over and exited the vehicle in an attempt to retract the slide and noticed smoke rising from the engine compartment. Minutes later, he heard an explosion near the rear of the vehicle and realized that the engine caught fire. The fire department extinguished the fire within one minute.
