What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
We took a long trip this last summer and had an incident on the rv. The vehicle was totally out of control at speeds over 40 mph when it was windy top speed was around 30mph vehice was totaly out of control and I considered it dangerous. I lost control twice and ran off the road.
This caused two blowouts and rim damage. Also, this caused the vehicle to strike a parked vehicle while making a turn. There was minor damage to the vehicle, but no police report taken. The vehicle was taken to the manufacturer of the frame and new slots were drilled and the axle was moved up.
Driving on Interstate, heard a loud noise. Nothing on roadway. MotorHome mechanic noticed that driverâs side was not pumping up. The loud noise was the driverâs side air bag exploding. The steering column was affected by the explosion. The turn signal box has slipped down.
In 2009 we were traveling in louisiana on a main highway and the engine grill on the back apparently detached and flew off. We discovered it had been attached with 2 sided tape (4 pieces approx 2 in long ea.) since that time we have encountered 3 other vehicles of the same model that had similar issues.
This report is on a failed odometer. At around 53100 miles the odometer set to zero and started counting forward again. I brought the coach to a freightliner dealer in dallas, tx.
The seals of the dual pane windows of the motorhome leak and the windows have become cloudy. This condition is limiting visibility to the review mirrors. I have contacted winnebago and there response was the coach is out of warranty. The cost to replace the three windows is over 2,000.
