The contact’s sister sustained bruising to the shoulder and eardrum. In addition, the husband also sustained eardrum ringing due to the air bag deployment. No medical attention was required. No police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.
The seat belt warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle lost motive power and was not driving properly. The vehicle was taken to a dealer; however, the failure was not duplicated.
My Airbag Readiness Light started blinking. I took vehicle to dealer for service. No trouble codes were found. Issue was found with Passenger Presence Module. Dealer advised that this is part of the seat that has been discontinued and that no repairs are available for the vehicle.
