"Front End" on a lot. What does it really mean?

A 3D X-ray of a crossover front end: through the transparent body, the bumper reinforcement, crash box, radiators and headlight mounts are highlighted in yellow. Illustration, not a measured reconstruction of the damage.

Subtitles: full voice-over text.

Front End is the declared damage zone at the front of the car. The label on its own does not establish the exact direction of the impact, its depth or the condition of the hidden components.

Questions the label does not answer

  • The condition of the reinforcement, front structural members and mounts.
  • Whether the radiator pack, cooling, front wheel or suspension are affected.
  • What is visible in the cabin and which SRS checks are needed.

A 3D illustration, not a photo of a lot. Hidden components are shown schematically; the radiator and condenser prices on screen are from the Audi Q5 case, not general ones.
