Component Affected: Suspension / Steering / Wheels / Front Hub Assembly Description of the Safety Defect & Incident: Proactively brought the vehicle to two separate authorized Chevrolet dealerships due to a severe thumping noise when turning the steering wheel.
My vehicle was met with an accident on June 28, 2026. The accident was very swear and driver get internal injuries like swelling on face pain in head and ribs due to the heavy shock. But non of the airbag has been activated for safety of driver.
The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the steering wheel locked at an angle, and the message "Power Steering Not Active" was displayed, causing the vehicle to strike a curb. The steering column, control arm, radiator, fender, and wheel were significantly damaged due to the incident.
There is an electronic problem that continues to trip the warning for the Air Ride suspension system to fail leaving the vehicle stuck at its current ride height or it drops eithee the front or rear suspension to the ground while simultaneously raising the front or rear to its highest setting.
The Emergency Brake system, The Anti-Collision Sensor, The vibrating Driver's seat Alert, The dashboard Collision Alert lightening......All of these gave no alert prior to the collision.
This is the second Chevrolet Suburban we have owned. In both cars, the middle seat of the 2nd and 3rd row bench seats are missing a head rest. This could result in a severe neck injury to the passenger in a car accident. How is Chevrolet allowed to roll out these cars from the factory with this obvious safety defect?
