What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Two weeks before the accident, a warning message appeared on my car’s dashboard stating: “FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM REDUCED.” Naturally, I was concerned. I immediately contacted the dealership, but they failed to return my call. I followed up a few days later, and they told me to bring the car in the next day.
The air bags failed to deploy. Medical attention was required. The contact’s daughter and the front passenger both sustained muscle soreness. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, no diagnosis was determined. The vehicle was not repaired.
The car says it was in park but had to use the parking brake to ensure the car was parked. The manufacturer has been notified of the issue and even settled a class action lawsuit regarding the issue without issuing a recall.
Unkown~ I find my antenna to pose a safety risks due to the antenna base has allowed moisture , water, affecting navigation system/radio, everytime it rains, radio stops working n navigation system water ingress can damage critical electrical system ,including radio manfuctuer and dealership in that antenna design is…
When entering onto the freeway, I accelerated to the speed of the freeway traffic and the turbo system failed and the message was ENGINE POWER REDUCED and the check engine light came on. During the time of the turbo failure, I was almost hit by another vehicle that had to suddenly brake to avoid hitting me.
I just had to cough up over $800 to fix rusting because of shit wheel design that doesn't protect those components. Absolutely unacceptable to have consumers not only buy a car but then not issue a recall over the switch just inside the console I guess they want to con thousands to pay for a new shifter?
Emergency Blinkers on dashboard had to be replaced because they overheated and melted C. The vehicle has 13,000 miles And now I am getting error messages that say the car needs to be put in park and won’t shut off and just keeps having a buzzard ring when the car is actually in park
Vehicle stalled and shut off while driving in moving traffic on multiple occasions, resulting in sudden loss of power steering and brake assist — a significant safety hazard. Battery failed at 32,860 miles (September 2025) with all low voltage codes. Battery replaced by dealer.
