With 29, 000 miles on the coach and driving at 50 mph on a highway the front brakes heated up and then all braking failed. (pedal to the floor w/ no braking). Had to be towed and replaced the whole front brakes, rotors, calipers, master cylinder and booster $5500.00 later and 11 days in a hotel w/ rental car
The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front brakes overheated, failed, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
Tl contact owns a dometic rm2852. The contact received a safety recall notice in march of 2007 and has been attempting to have the repair performed since that time. He stated that dometic keeps giving him the run around.
