What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Braking system malfunctioned, causing a rear end impact in which 3 passengers sustained injuries. The abs locked front wheels when coming to a stop. Roadway was wet and vehicle began to skit out of control. Passengers in other vehicle sustained injuries.
Upon impact with the trees & fence, the air bags did not deploy. The front end was smashed & the windshield popped out. Seat belts held driver. The driver still sustained some injuries.
Seat belts were loose, did not track in or lock, did not hold driver or passenger. This caused passenger serious injuries, and driver died as result of the defect.
