What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
They said my seat belt failed and it would cost around $100 for the part plus labor and that with out it the airbag won't deploy. I feel that since this is a sensor for the srs system it should be fixed by them it makes my car as dangerous as it was befor with no airbag at all I also believe that since it was damaged…
The system sporadically does not respond when the accelerator is pressed, causing the car to "stall" when you expect it to respond. This is very dangerous at intersections or when attempting to pass another vehicle. This has happened to me 3 times in the past 2 days after not showing up for a couple of months.
Power steering, hazard lights, everything was inoperable. I manually unlocked the driver door, but the door would not open. I then manually unlocked the passenger door and it would not open. I tried the same thing on a passenger door. I was essentially locked in my car in 88 degree weather.
With the srs light on, the airbags do not work, car cannot by smogged, and is a serious hazard to the drive and occupants until the expensive repair is made. Called honda customer service and was told they would not lessen the cost, nor help cover the repair in any way.
