What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
None of the emergency brake systems activated including the automatic emergency braking and front collision warning, which lead to my car driving into the semi-truck.
While driving my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid at approximately 20-25 mph approaching a red light, a sudden and total loss of brake power-assist occurred. Upon applying the brakes, the pedal became instantly rigid and rock-hard.
There were no warning lights illuminated. All the air bags deployed, and the driver was unable to see. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot. The contact sustained injuries to her head, resulting in a concussion, fractured ribs, and bruises on her foot from depressing the brake pedal, and medical attention was provided…
There were no warning lights illuminated. A woman occupying another unknown vehicle sustained head injuries. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. The air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The driver did not sustain any injuries. There were no reported fires. The local dealer was not contacted.
30MPH ran the red light we hit the car front driver side the force spun us around i hit the steering column with the sternum Chest and had a 14x9 inch bruise around my lower abdomen both the seat belt did not hold me nor did the air bag deploy State farm has the car now dealer did nothing
At first oil change in 2025, reported to dealer loud rear noise (boom) followed by poor bouncy driving afterward that continued. Told they couldnât get the boom sound to reoccur on test drive. (It had only occurred once for me followed by carâs ride feeling looser and more bouncy after that. No repairs made.
The contact stated that the panoramic sunroof unexpectedly exploded and shattered. The vehicle was taken to a service center to be repaired. The service center confirmed the failure. The vehicle was scheduled to be repaired. The service center referred the contact to the manufacturer to report the failure.
Since purchasing the vehicle, I have experienced a persistent grinding noise that continued despite multiple dealership visits. Initially, I was told a pebble lodged in the rotor was causing the noise.
