What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
I was having gas mileage issues and had an engine light come on one day. I checked it for it to come up with mass air flow sensor code. I had them replaced. Once I replaced them I noticed I still had the light and mileage issues.
The airbags did not deploy. I was smashed into my driver side door and window. I have multiple broken bones. I do not plan to put my child in this car once it is repaired. My insurance would not total the vehicle. Do we know if takata airbags were used in the g25 models?
The contact stated that while driving approximately 3 mph, the vehicle was involved in a crash and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact mentioned that the seat belts also failed. A police report was filed and injuries were sustained. The vehicle was not repaired and was totaled.
The supplemental air bag warning light came on the dashboard. My local mechanic coded it at B1018, occupant sensor failure. At his suggestion, I brought it to a Nissan dealership (Infiniti is over an hour away from where I live.). They indicated I need to replace both seat sensor and OCS module.
While car was in operation, Intelligent Key System warning light came on (yellow "KEY" light). After turning off car engine, car will no longer start up. Key fob locks and unlocks doors, but car will not start. Prior to this incident there were no indications of a problem, no wornings.
A few days later on my way to work again, my vehicle would not start at all. I had AAA come out to try and start the vehicle thinking that it was a dead battery, but I was told that the battery was in good shape.
It didn't start. I tried changing the battery on the intelligent key fob and nothing. On the dash was yellowish key light appeared every time I tried to turn the car on. I took it to my mechanic and he originally thought it was the battery because the light didn't come on.
Sticky, melted and cracking dash, problem beginning 2 years ago...some pieces are off and you can see the "yellow" interior (foam)...the actual mileage is 53,000 miles.
