What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
My wife was pulling into her parking spot at work with her foot on the brake when the car suddenly lurched forward. She clearly remembers braking as normal when parking and had witnesses standing within 15 feet that noticed the sound of the brakes and the brake lights lit.
Wouldn't start despite apparent accessory power. Rolled down hill damaging door. Car was used normally every day and was never left in a manner that would draw power while parked. It was also never left undriven for more than 12 hours. The car was, however, driven for mostly short trips.
My infiniti g37 yr 2011 had an experience with unintended acceleration in the parking lot, when I was driving about 5 mph and about to stop my car.
About 1 month into ownership of the car I had the car parked in my driveway running while I walked to the end of the driveway to pick up garbage cans. I heard a crash , I found the car crashed into my garage doing damage to the car , my garage wall and my son's bike. The car was still in park when I found it .
The sidewalk of my tire blew out while driving on the highway in winter conditions. Luckily I was only going about 30 mph when it happened. The tires were advertised as 65,000 mile tires and my one tire catastrophically blew out with only 15000 miles on it. The tires are Cooper adventurer all season 225/55r17
The sunroofâs drain ports clogging up is a known common issue to Infiniti dealers, as I have learned while taking my car in after the entire dashboard & electronics shorted out. The mechanic told me this is a common occurrence during the rainy season.
Hydraulic clutch fluid overheating causing catastrophic clutch piston failure resulting in not being able to engage, shift, or most importantly disengage the current drive gear in motion.
The contact stated that the sunroof drain was leaking, causing water to enter the cabin of the vehicle. There was mold beginning to form in the cabin of the vehicle, with a noticeable mold odor inside the vehicle.
