What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
Suddenly the car began to accelerate and I observed smoke from the tires. I later saw this was caused by the tires digging into the asphalt. During the sudden, unintended acceleration I kept wondering how I was going to stop the car.
Vehicle 4was and traction control light is on. While driving after making a turn the steering wheel un-aligns itself so when you look at it it's as if the car is unaligned. I did research after reading there hasve been many infinity recalls for steering issues and this is common.
In December, 2022, the airbag warning light activated. AT a cost to us of over $1500, the Infiniti dealer replaced the failed sensor. What we did not know is that this did not fix the problem and the air bag on the passenger side would never have deployed in the event of an accident.
The warning light was the first indication of the problem and we immediately took it to the dealer who replaced it. We can understand mechanical failures in an older car but it seems ridiculous that this vital piece of safety equipment would fail on a car with very low mileage and we have never had a car where the…
When I accelerate the vehicle doesn't speed up and sometimes it hesitates. This is dangerous especially when entering the freeway it takes a while after I accelerate for the car to get up to speed. Seems like a transmission issue. Infiniti needs a recall. I know several people with this car and have the same issue.
The car won't accelerate when pressing the gas and also will jerk and jump when shifting. It's very dangerous when driving on the expressway because the car won't accelerate, but sometimes will take off on it's own even when I press the brake.
Vehicle 4was light is on. While driving after making a turn the steering wheel un-aligns itself so when you look at it it's as if the car is unaligned. It then aligns itself at some point upon another turn. I did research after reading there has been many infinity recalls for steering issues.
About 2 weeks ago my 4was and traction light came on while driving under 35 mph in my subdivision in a straight line and nothing seems to fix it, now on wet roads car feels loose in the rear. I have heard lots of complaints about this system and feel it is a safety concern and should be a recall. Thanks
