Have had my jeep for 6 years its always stalling I took it to jeep chrysler dodge, firestone nobody can figure out whats wrong; it actually turns itself off and nobody knows why. This is dangerous this car needs a recall.
The contact stated that an unknown warning light illuminated and the brake pedal became loose. The vehicle failed to slow down or stop and the rpms increased to seven and then immediately to zero. The steering wheel seized and the engine stalled.
Driving down the highway at 50 mph and the car stalls leaving no power steering. This has been happening for the past 2 years. Last time I lost control an had a accident . Very dangerous . Please how do you correct the problem someone going to get killed.
The jeep patriot has an issue with the abs ecu programing. When the abs wheel speed sensor faults the ecu detects it as a wheel speed change. Activating the abs brakes. Unlike every other car when the sensor is faulting it should just simply turn off the abs system and display a fault code.
The contact stated that the brakes failed while approaching an intersection traveling 25 mph. The brakes did not respond causing the contact to enter the intersection and crash into another vehicle. The dealer inspected the vehicle and advised the contact that there were no defects found within the braking system.
