What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The air bags failed to deploy. The air bag warning light illuminated. A police report was not filed and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
A vehicle failed to yield and we impacted, however, our airbags did not deploy and the other vehicles airbags did. The damage was moderate and chevy tahoe received more severe damage. I filed a complaint with chrysler and they are inspecting the vehicle.
Parking brake failure has occurred numerous times. Brakes will not stay adjusted. I've adjusted it at least a dozen times.
Driving on the interstate the all of the dash warning lights came on and blinked(abs, esc, traction control, brake, seatbelt) then the vehicle stalled causing loss of control. Luckily no vehicles around and I regained control after going in the median. Put in 4 wheel drive and got out.
Driving down the road and the rear passenger wheel fell off. Bolt threads showed to be broken. Brakes were changed 9 months earlier, and after 2 more service checkups no service person mentioned/noticed any issue with wheel/tire or rotor.
Someone will be killed by this failure !!! 3rd time....valve stem blow out.. Valve stem corrodes and fails..3rd time..allowing tire to deflate instantaneously..destroyed new tires/wheel and jeep fender. Wife and daughter this time at 65 mph...
