What owners report
Short excerpts of NHTSA complaints in the original wording. These are owner statements not verified by NHTSA; personal data removed.
The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle independently accelerated and the brakes failed to operate while the brake pedal was depressed, causing the front center of the vehicle to crash into a tree. No warning lights were illuminated. The air bags deployed as needed.
I was going 75 miles per hour at the time and my air bags did not deploy and my vehicle is very likely totaled. Due to airbags not deploying my head hit the steering wheel and window many times. The vehicle is available for inspection if requested.
The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was drivable although damage was moderate. No warning light's were illuminated. A police report was filed. Three passengers were injured, The driver, The front passenger, and the back passenger.
I was in my 2021 Nissan Rogue and just turned right down the street from my in-laws home ( out of state in Indiana) when the vehicle violently jerked to the right and I was unable to control it and sent me into a ditch. My speed was 14mph when this happened. I managed to get it up on the road and inspected it.
I was in an accident with front and rear collision and damage and my airbags never deployed. I hydroplaned into the guardrail and hit the front of the vehicle completely and then was rear-ended with massive damage after I hit the guardrail.
There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or fire. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 36,500.
In the past if I’ve come too close to a vehicle or object in front of me my vehicle lets me know messaging me on my screen, side mirrors and my vehicle has even braked itself. I have become reliant on this system and I no longer feel secure or safe knowing this system intermittently works.
